Memorial Groves and Peace Garden. The Friends of Two Creeks was formed in 1992 in response to significant funding cutbacks facing conservation authorities. This volunteer group assumed management responsibilities for the Two Creeks Conservation area with the goals of raising awareness of and preserving the 85 acre site.

Two Creeks is the oldest neighborhood in Lakewood. The Two Creeks Neighborhood Organization was the first registered neighborhood organization established in Lakewood as well. June 8-26 and July 6-24.

As I used up the last of our HUGE 32 pound Thanksgiving turkey this week, I thought a lot about my paternal grandmother. She was an environmental health conscious feminist before her time. One of her many talents was the ability to make a weeks worth of great meals from Sunday dinner. Using the very same ingredients, she would create something new every evening until she had used it all. Our 32 pounder just after it came off the grill.
